Merida is one of the safest and peaceful cities in Mexico, its a great place for living and for vacations, it has affordable prices for living and there are a lot of great things to do like visiting the pyramids, going to the center, go to a theater, a Museum, to the beach of progreso, to cancun or playa del carmen and more.
You might want to look accommodations in some of the best hotels in Merida. You have different options so you have to decide what is that you want to do and what is your budget. Some hotels are cheap and others can be very expensive depending of what location you want to be.
